We decided to do a last minute trip to Elkwater to get the last of the season of biking
before the snow happened and slowed us down again this fall. We didn't get a chance to ride here
this year, so we wanted to rectify that.

Top of T-Dub. For the record, this is slightly above my grade with loose gravel and STEEP lines,
but it's still cool to push yourself a bit and see what the tougher kids ride.

A good reminder to check a cabin before fully unloading all of your gear. This little guy was in
cabin 316, so we moved to 317. House mouse is correct.

We had a gorgeous afternoon when we arrived so we went for a quick ride along the beach to see what was
going on. For the record, fall in Elkwater is a bit cooler, but is also gorgeous and full of
great colours and far fewer people than the summer.

No one on the beach - a note that they still had the swimmer's itch posting up.

We went for a morning ride over to the ski hill side and Walter had no problem riding over there,
again, once I remembered to get him talking about video games first.

As we make the turn along Ruttentuke to the Sorry climb. Again, no problem at all for an 8-year old
to make his way up this trail. And Sorry is a comfortable grade that I didn't have to tow-whee him
to get up. He chose to bail at the half-way point to ride Bunny Hug for a couple of laps,
which was great to have that option.

Now that Mom has a dropper post, she did great as well on the up AND down, when she remembers to
use her dropper!

It turns out that winter happens FAST on the prairies - here are our bikes before we left Elkwater
with a sizeable storm that blew in overnight.
